Dot Addition and Double Compare
The students have been engaged in several different math games and activities to help them with their addition strategies. They are practicing finding two or more quantities that add up to 20 by counting all, counting on, or using number combinations.
Rocks!!
The students continued their study of what is found on the surface of the Earth. We examined rocks with our hand lenses and then worked in pairs to sort the rocks by size, color or texture.

Take the Pledge for November!
Congratulations to Abbie, Damian, Sierra and Skyy for completing the October reading pledge. This month as part of the Read It Forward initiative, Parkwood students are being asked to pledge to turn their televisions off 2 nights a week and spend that time reading.
